We are always on the lookout for helpful individuals interested in doing some volunteer work or becoming a vital member of the Landcare group. Our volunteers are extremely important to the success of our community projects, providing the people power for tree plantings, watering, mowing and weeding our Landcare sites.
We also need more members to help with organising community events, workshop days; essential nursery work and to help with fundraising.
Cedar Grove Landcare relies on dedicated volunteers who are the life blood of our organisation. Our organisation continues to grow and develop and we are always in need of assistance across a variety of tasks including seed collection, propagation, planting, weed control to name just a few, By becoming a volunteer, you can support CGL’s mission facilitating environmental change through positive behavioural change.
You will meet passionate, proactive, environmentally minded people where you can gain skills in native Australian plants and ecosystems, seeds collecting, seed raising and citizen science.
Completion of a volunteer form and induction is required before volunteer participation can occur in scheduled activities within the organisation. You will need to fill out a volunteer registration form for insurance coverage. You can download the form below, or contact us and we can arrange a suitable time to visit the nursery.
