Private and Non-Government Organisation Restoration along the Logan River. – The Logan River runs adjacent to Cedar Grove from the south west heading north. The flood prone area in recent years has seen increased intensity in flood water movement along with significant erosion and deposition of sediment along the riverbanks.

Cedar grove Landcare has been working with Landholders and NGO’s to restore riverbank stability through weed removal and planting of endemic native species. Property owners are reducing overland flow and sediment loss into the river which is vital in maintaining riverine health and water quality. Restoring vegetation to stabilise eroding banks is also enriching corridors for native species habitat and movement.
